Hankley doesn't have some of the grandeur of, say, Sunningdale or The Berkshire, but as a golfing experience it ranks up there with the very best. Great holes and a lovely setting – it's true golfing escapism. The airy clubhouse, and particularly the terrace overlooking the 4th green, make for a very pleasant after-round drink or lunch.
