Minchinhampton Golf Club dates back to 1889, when the original Old Course was opened on Minchinhampton Common. The club relocated to a new site where the Avening and the Cherington courses are located. Both courses have hosted The Open Regional Qualifying, a mark of their pedigree. The well-designed clubhouse offers excellent entertaining spaces and balconies overlooking the course. For Bristol or en-route to South Wales, its a great addition to the Mint Greens portfolio.

The Avening and Cherington courses are laid out across well-draining land, making them excellent year-round courses, offering well-maintained fairways and greens. The set-up at the club is impressive and would make a first-class location for an event between Bristol and Birmingham. For a taste of something completely different, the Old Course offers a unique and charming experience: completely void of bunkers, sharing the common with cows and sheep, with the layout tributed to Mother Nature. The Old Course was included in Tom Doak’s ‘Confidential Guide’ to golf courses of the British Isles.
