Ireland's oldest golf club – and with a clubhouse awarded Clubhouse of the Year 2024 by the Golfer’s Guide to Ireland – Royal Belfast is a truly impressive golf club. The present course dates back to 1925, and was designed by Harry S. Colt, one of the world’s leading course designers of the day. Colt produced a course of great charm which provides a true test of golfing skill and enjoys one of the most scenic settings of any in Ireland, with its unrivalled views of Belfast Lough and the Antrim plateau beyond.

Golf clubs don't come much more impressive than this for entertaining – Ireland's oldest, a magnificent Victorian clubhouse and a gloriously situated course makes for a very special combination. The club is located on the shores of Belfast Lough, only minutes from George Best Belfast City Airport in Holywood. We expect demand to be high when The Open returns to Royal Portrush in 2025.
