St Anne’s Old Links presents a pure and challenging links course, laid out across windswept duneland. The course is regularly used for Final Open Qualifying which is a measure of its pedigree and offers a great location to entertain guests around The Open when staged at Royal Liverpool (2023), neighbouring Royal Lytham St Anne's and Royal Birkdale.

St Anne's Old is a proper golf course. The par 3 9th hole with its long and narrow green, set in between dunes and semi-blind off the tee, with the stately clubhouse in the background, is a brilliant short hole and the club's most famous. It wasn't without reason that Bobby Jones is said to have studied it carefully during his 1926 visit. Other standout holes include the 10th and 18th, which remain from the original Lytham & St Anne’s layout which occupied the site.
