St Mellion is unarguably one of the top UK golf resorts, with two quality resort-style courses that present many fine (but not overly long) holes. As a golf course, the Nicklaus Signature Course compares favourably with many other perhaps more famous resort courses. As a venue it's very good all-round and while Cornwall may be a distance from London, the location near Plymouth is easily (and surprisingly quickly) reached with good road connections.
